Apply for outgoing exchange

Study abroad? Follow this checklist and get ready to go explore!
  • To be eligible for an exchange program, you must be a student at Nord University both at the time of application and throughout your stay abroad. There are also requirements for satisfactory academic progress (meaning you are not significantly delayed in your studies).

  • Follow this checklist for guidance or go directly to the application in Søknadsweb

  • Make sure that the courses you choose to take at the host institution can be integrated into the degree you are pursuing at Nord University. The international coordinator at the faculties will help you determine whether the courses you wish to take fit the field and level of your degree. These must be pre-approved by your faculty before you travel.

Without this pre-approval, you will not be able to receive support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen).

Any changes to courses after arrival at the host institution must be approved by your faculty.

  • After you have been nominated and allocated a spot through an exchange agreement, you must apply for admission to the study location. You will receive more information about this from the international office later in the application process. Remember to apply for both a study place and accommodation.
