Tonje Victoria Lidahl Mørtsell
I am a social anthropologist with specialisation in the anthropology of technology and the anthropology of outer space. In my ongoing PhD project, I explore how sustainability is made meaningful, by using space-related education as an analytical lens. My research is grounded in ethnography and anthropological fieldwork, with a focus on how people engage with technology, education, and ideas about the future and space.
I have experience from interdisciplinary research projects on emerging technologies in the higher education sector, including the use of VR in teaching. I have also served editor and author for scientific reports, organised conferences, and developed a broad national and international network across the social sciences. My strengths include social analysis, ethnography, outer space studies, educational research, and the study of emerging technologies in practice.
